Sol Duc Hike

This past Thursday it was sunny and Jason had the day off so we went on a hike at Sol Duc Falls, about 40 min. from our house. We had fun! We saw trees!
We came to this place by the trail and the kids insisted on climbing, jumping, and running on all these logs. When it was time to move on, Aiden said, "But this is just like a playground!" This spot is actually called the Salmon Cascades and we were supposed to see huge Salmon (they go upstream in the fall) going up the mini-waterfalls. No Salmon! But it was pretty.

This is Asher on a bridge over the real Sol-Duc Falls. (Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the waterfall itself) Can you see how misty it was? Asher brought his clone blaster along, thank goodness! You never know when you're going to meet seperatist droids.

Lastly, along with bizillions of trees, we saw mushrooms galore. I took a picture of these two very interesting ones. You can't tell from the pictures, but both of them were about five inches across.
