Asher drew this imaginative piece earlier this week to enter in an art contest. Of course it includes weapons!
The Bees and the Bear
a rhyming skit by Autumn Gale
Narrator:
Rumbling, bumbling through the wood,
A bear, sniffing, on its hind legs stood.
Bear:
I'm hungry, you see,
And what I want is a honeybee tree!
Narrator:
And lo, he saw, with growing delight,
A honey tree, just within sight!
Bee #1:
Oh, no! The Queen bee shall surely die of fright!
For lo and behold, the bear is within sight!
Queen Bee:
Oh, dear! [she buzzed] What shall we do?
We must make sure this day the bear will rue!
Bee #2:
Excuse me, dear highness, I know what to do!
All will be well if we follow through!
We'll tie a honeycomb to a string,
And show it to the bear, he'll want the thing!
Then we'll fly away, the bear's sure to follow,
Until we come to the small daisy hollow!
We'll give him the honey and leave him alone,
It shall be easy, I'll do it alone!
Queen Bee:
To your plan I say yes, I hope you succeed,
The bear, his folly shall be his greed!
Narrator:
When he was gone they were tense and quiet
But when he returned, there was almost a riot!
Queen Bee:
Did you succeed
With this noble deed?
Bee #2:
Yes, I have won!
The bear is done.
The End!
