We've gotten so much rain in the last few weeks,
our little creek behind the house turned into a little river!
The kids got the kayak out and took little rides on it.
They could only go a few feet at a time, but had lots of fun.
Autumn entered a student art show and won two
ribbons for this ceramic bowl she made & painted!
Way to go, Autumn! When it is not
in art shows, I use it to hold guacamole.
We finally put up the zip line we got for Christmas!
(Thank you, Grammy, Papa, & Ellie!)
Here is Asher zipping away on it.
It's really fantastic, come ride on it!
(must be age 10 and up, have insurance, and sign
a disclaimer releasing us from all responsibility if you
smack yourself into a tree)
This is Autumn and "L" on a DIY swing hanging
from the roof of the Coast Guard's gym. It could
go really high! We all took turns on it.
Isn't it funny that the men from the station hung it
for themselves to swing on?
We still have our two extra cuties living with us. We are enjoying serving God this way, but it is really, really hard work. The good days are challenging and difficult. The bad days make it obvious that I really stink at this whole parenting thing, let alone foster parenting. Spurgeon said, "If you seek humility, try hard work; if you would know your nothingness, attempt some great thing for Jesus." We are attempting a small thing and it is
showing us that our need of Him, His wisdom, His joy, and His love is infinite. Please pray for us :)
