British Gentlemen School

We very recently joined a Cotillion group. For those who don't know, Cotillion is a formal dance and etiquette course, a.k.a. "British Gentlemen School". Of course my boys weren't overjoyed at going once a week to these classes, but since the price is per family, I insisted they try it for at least a month. If after a month they still detest it, I promised them they could quit.

However, we are all loving it! I say "we" because last week they needed more female dancers so some of us moms had the privilege of dancing, too. :)

One requirement of Cotillion is that one has to come dressed nice:
Here are the kids all spiffed up in front of the library, where the classes are currently held.
If you look close enough, you can see through their clenched, fake smiles that they
are saying to each other, "Seriously? She's taking our picture in front
of the Port Angeles Public Library?" Well, what are mothers for if not to
torture their children?

Meanwhile, at home we are having fun practicing.
