Last Tuesday we visited the Tacoma Zoo and Aquarium!
We had a very enjoyable day watching the animals, dodging
raindrops, and laughing a bunch.
The animals liked us too, especially Autumn.
Aiden had to have a bird seed stick to get a bird
to land near him :)
According to this, this is what a polar bear would look
like next to Grammy, right before attacking her
and mauling her to death.
But the little cub likes her!
The walrus were so fascinating to watch.
We spent about twenty minutes watching them
glide along hypnotically.
Surprise! When we arrived home, another animal awaited!
Hammy the Hamster is now part of the Gale family,
where he'll hopefully happily habitate for at least a week
before dying.
For now, Aiden is loving his furry friend.
(Also, habitate is not really a word, but I was going
for a good alliteration. Plus, it's my blog so I think
I should have artistic license to make up new words.
Shakespeare did it after all! Well, not on his blog...)
