Asher and Autumn participated in a gymnastics shows this weekend and wow, were we proud! The gym where Asher takes gymnastics and Autumn takes dance does an annual show, and this year they were both in it. Asher's show was on Friday night. He did vault jumps, stuff on the rings, and dive rolls. It was so great to watch. The rest of the show was fantastic, too. They had performances by little kids doing somersaults up to teenagers doing amazing Olympic-level gymnastics, plus dances, rythmic gymnastics...it was awesome! I took video of Asher but unfortutely 1) the file is too big to load onto this blog, and 2) I took video with my digital camera and did it sideways so when we watch it we have to turn our head to the side!
Autumn's show was on Sunday and she did a dance with some other girls. They did such a great job!!!! Here is a picture of her with her coach, Nancy. I took video of Autumn's dance, too, but there are also two problems: 1) the file is too large to fit on this blog, and 2) the footage is shaky because I was crying my eyes out!
Finally, we had our Egypt party this weekend and the kids dressed up. We also made a Pyramid cake and played an Egyptian game.
Oh, and about the gym show, if the children are in it next year, you all are required to attend!
