I finished reading this book to the children last week, and we loved it! It is a fictional retelling of the story of Onesimus, the runaway slave from the New Testament book, Philemon. It not only gave us a great picture of Roman times (there's even gladiators), but it really made the New Testament come alive for us. I really enjoyed it and would read it again to myself, even though it is a children's book!
