I was feeling sentimental the other day so I photographed
the toys my children were all playing with, knowing
that these days of toys everywhere were going to be over
someday too soon.
(call me sappy)
Autumn had gotten out Playmobil and wooden blocks and
built a city for them. She doesn't play with toys very much anymore,
preferring to crochet or sketch.
Asher, of course, built Lego vehicles for his guys.
(BTW, he loves that tackle box for organizing his
Lego guy heads, helmets, & weapons)
This is Aiden's collection of Angry Bird blocks,
plus the Iron Man he got for Christmas.
Now that our tree is down we set our card table back up
in the living room for just such a purpose; elaborate toy set-ups.
Since I read aloud to them for about two hours a day (during which
they play with toys)
having toy stations set up does not bother me at all.
I know they will be gone all too soon...
