School started....

....and the fun is over.

We are doing something totally new this year. It is a co-op called
Aletheia (greek for truth) that was organized by two ladies
in our church. It meets once a week and all the
classes are taught by different members of our congregation.

It is a classical co-op, very similar to Classical Conversations.
Asher & Autumn are taking:
~logic & debate (taught by our Pastor)
~Notgrass World History, Literature, and Bible
~Visual Latin
~Saxon Algebra I
~IEW Writing
~Apologia Physical Science

Aiden is taking:
~Mystery of History, Vol. I (taught by me & I LOVE it!)
~Shurley English
~P.E.
~IEW Writing
~Art (How Great Thou Art)
~Apologia Astronomy
~Logos Latin
(he also does Math-U-See with me at home)

Their assignments given in class are what the children work on during the
week, with some help from me.So far it is a lot of work but they
enjoy the independence and the classroom atmosphere.

I am also doing a story time for the smaller grades, which is highly
enjoyable. I read them fairy tales, poems, children's books, and a chapter
of Little Pilgrim's Progress a week.

Ask me how we're doing in a month...
(but I'll probably be too tired to respond)
