On Friday I took the children to the zoo. It was beautiful weather for January, sunny in the mid-60s. (If this is global warming,
why are we trying to stop it?) We hopped in our new ride, "Blue Beauty", and headed down to San Francisco.
Of course the animals were fun to see but the kids had the most fun climbing on the animal statues and making "zoo pennies". Those are the machines that turn pennies into souveniers. The kids brought their own money so they could make a bunch!
Other than the zoo animals, the place was filled with chattering squirrels and crying sea gulls. Besides that we basically had the place to ourselves and stayed until it closed! It was a great time.
