I gave her a little bell to ring for me and everything! And then on Thursday it hit Asher and I. Hard. By Friday I could barely get out of bed. Jason came home early and took care of us. But by Saturday afternoon, he was down with a high fever and I was stumbling around taking care of the kids. Fortunately, Aiden didn't get sick. Unfortunately, Aiden didn't get sick. We are all doing better today, just very weak.
Being sick reminds me of one of my favorite psalms, psalm 107. The psalm talks about different kinds of affliction that people get into, and whether the trouble is their own fault or not the answer is the same: call to the Lord and He will hear and answer you. It is an amazing psalm of God's mercy and help in trouble. Read it now! Here are the verses that described my week:
18Their soul abhorred all kinds of food,
And they drew near to the gates of death.
19Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble;
He saved them out of their distresses.
20He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions.
21 Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness,
And for His wonders to the sons of men!
