Our trip to D.C.!

Warning: If you think looking at other people's vacation
photos are boring, skip this post!!

Asher and I visited our nation's capitol this week and I have one word to describe it: Amazing! The beauty of the city, the coolness of the artifacts, the history behind everything was pretty overwhelming. And besides that, we had a great time being with my father and stepmother (a.k.a. Grandpa and Miss Julie) and a wonderful family friend, Edith.

This is the five of us on our last night. We ate at a restaurant on the banks of the Potomac. You can't see the river, but the moon over Asher's head looks cool!
Asher and the "Spitfire", a British fighter plane from WWII. This is from the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. Me and the Dancers from a Degas painting at the National Gallery of Art. Can you tell which one is me?

A robin is resting on top of a soldier's helmet from the Korean
War Memorial.

Asher is tired of smiling for the camera! This was
in the rotunda on the Capitol building.

Dad and Asher at the Vietnam War Memorial,
I love that the camera picked up the reflection.

The blurry creature in this photo is the First Dog! This man was walking him on the White
House lawn while we were there!
Dad, Julie and Asher at the other Air &
Space Museum, a huge hangar of amazing
airplanes!
This is a giant panda from the National
Zoo! He was eating sweet potatoes
out of the box right in front of the fence!
This photo is from Gettysburg. We had
a personal tour guide take us around
the battlefield. He had to warn Asher to
hit the cannon before you look into it because
birds nest in them.
Help! I am in the jaws of a prehistoric
giant white shark! This was in the
Smithsonian museum of Natural
History.
Lastly, here is Dad, Asher, and I at the Lincoln
Memorial overlooking the Washington
Monument.
While all this was taking place Autumn and Aiden were
having a fantastic time at Grammy and Papa's house in
Oregon. They went cave exploring, to a science museum,
and an arts & crafts day. The only one who didn't have fun
was Jason, who was at home working and studying!
