The Weekly Report

This week we had a lot of fun things planned (like 50s night and a girls' sleepover at a friend's house), but then a bunch of fun stuff also happened by God's grace! On Tuesday we went to the library and there was Max, the cutest dog who was there so children could read to him. Each of my kids got a turn (though Aiden just showed him pictures) and the best part is that he is going to be there every other Tuesday from now on and if the kids read to him 9 times, they earn a free book. Asher and Autumn dressed up for 50s night at their church club meeting. It was so cute to see all the boys Asher's age in white tucked-in T-shirts and rolled up jeans!
The girls were also really cute dressed up, but Autumn was the cutest!
On Thursday night, Autumn and I slept over at a friend's house and had fun, fun, fun! Jason took the day off Friday, then made us a nice fire in our fireplace. Of course we had to made s'mores, then! Asher is enjoying one while Jason looks quite bored.

Lastly, yesterday I took the kids on another nature hike. You may notice I take the kids on a lot of these, but what else can I do that gets the boy's energy out, is free, and I can count as school? It was a gorgeous, gorgeous day and the woods were full of birds. I really felt like composing poetry! Meanwhile, Asher led Autumn and Aiden down the creek bed saying in a commanding way, "If we go this way we will certainly get bruised, cut, and may die. Follow me!"

Hi guys, OK that dog looks like Miss Puggles! Is it a Puggle? Sounds like you had a great week. Can't wait to hear about your adventures with Grandpa Varner. I love you all.....
