Thanksgiving, late

I know this is late, but I have to do a blog about our fun Thanksgiving week. My Dad and stepmom, (Miss Julie) came out to spend the week with us and spoil the kids. They actually drove from Denver, CO! The day he came we celebrated my Dad's birthday with cake truffle balls. The next day we all endured Chuck E. Cheese so the kids could get some energy out. The children had to earn tokens by giving hugs and kisses to Grandpa!
We celebrated Thanksgiving on Wednesday (to avoid traffic) and cooked up lots and lots of good food. Asher wanted corn on the cob, Autumn wanted artichokes, and Miss Julie made some deviled eggs just for Aiden. Other than that, we had the usual good stuff!

On Thursday we had gorgeous weather and spent the day in the city. This is taken from Jason's station, then we went on to Golden Gate park. We had leftover turkey sandwiches by a pond and hiked around Strawberry Hill. Then we drove home through China town, which Asher has always wanted to see since reading The Boxcar Children: The Mystery in San Fransisco.

I never knew there was an actual Strawberry Hill! Next time we have to go. Sounds like you all had a wonderful week. Hope to see you for Christmas....
