Our Long Week O' Fun

Last week our week was filled with fun, fun, fun! We did something unusual and exciting nearly every day and enjoyed it immensely. How wonderful of God to give us some great summer memories before we start the daily tedium of school again.
Sunday: had dinner at a young couple's house from church. We played with their dogs and challenged each other on push-ups
Monday: ran errands and ate dinner at the Costco food court (that's always an exciting time)
Tuesday: spent all afternoon at the wonderful Smith farm and roasted hot dogs on their fire pit. They also have a lovely pond where the kids played with RC boats!
Wednesday: drove out to LaPush and spent an awesome time at the beach! The weather was perfect with no wind. The children even went in the water. Later we ate frozen pizza at the station.
Ahhh! Where's the rest of Autumn's body?!

Thursday: The Clallam County Fair! The Smiths joined us for an afternoon of frolic. There was so much to see and do there (as long as you had plenty of cash). At least the animal barns were free, and that was the best part. No wait, they had a scone booth and that was the best part.
Asher did some mighty fine shooting at the arcade!
The children all entered things for the fair: the boys did Lego creations and Autumn made some felt dolls and this calligraphy:
(ps, did you all know that Autumn can do excellent calligraphy? one of her many talents)
Aiden's highlight: Bungee jumping!
Back to our week:
Friday: had some trauma in the morning regarding a cat, construction, and a boy who went missing at Wal-Mart, but then in the evening we had a family over for dinner with two sweet little boys.
Saturday: went kayaking again at the lake
Sunday: I took Asher and Autumn and some other kids to see "Macbeth" in the park in Port Townsend. It was soooo cool! We brought a picnic dinner and ate while watching the play. The park was right next to the water and so pretty. They did a tremendous job on the play, with lots of action-packed fighting and tons of fake blood. I wish I had taken more pictures, but I was too into watching it!

"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble!"
