I was sitting on the couch with Aiden waiting for some friends to come over and coaching him on polite manners:
Me: "Now Aiden, when our friends arrive, I want you to say, Hello, Mrs. Smith, hello, Adalie, thank you for coming over today."
pause
Aiden: "Mom, I'm not the sweet boy you think I am."
Oh, Aiden, don't I know it!
