This past Friday the children and I went on a school field trip to Seattle, which proved to be both fun and exhausting. We rode the ferry over to Seattle, then walked to the nearby Seattle Aquarium. Here are the children a the Aquarium:

Wait! That's not Aiden! You're right, it was our friend Brandon who wanted to be in the picture. Aiden was in the gift shop, loving the cute stuffed otters.

The Aquarium was so cool! The endless varieties of fish always amaze me,
God is so creative! Here are the children with sea horses.

After the Aquarium, we had a 20 min. walk to our afternoon destination. Here is Autumn, posing compliantly, while her brothers were fishing coins out of the fountain. If you look closely you can spot the Space Needle in the background!

Our afternoon destination was the Klondike Gold Rush musuem! Since Seattle was one of the last stops before going to the Klondike, all the pathetic golddiggers outfitted themselves there, turning Seattle into a bustling city almost overnight. ('lil bit of history for ya) The gold in this picture is fake, of course, but we "struck it rich" with learning oppurtunities. (cheesy, I know)

Here is a guide demonstrating how miners panned for gold and what "fool's gold" is for Aiden.

On the way back to the ferry we took our time and saw lots of neat things in downtown. There was an area of statues, and here are the kids making a totem pole in front of a totem pole.

It was cold and raining and it took me over three hours to get home because I got lost, but all in all it was a great experience!
